If you live in Rome, the word STRIKE (SCIOPERO) becomes inadvertently part of your vocabulary. There is always a sciopero (mainly related to transportation that is already lacking consistency) against something. I do understand the point that WE PEOPLE need to raise OUR voice and be heard. Though, I don’t agree that it is being done in the most effective way here in Italy. The only people those strikes affect are the workers who rely on public transportation everyday. Those who have to make that EURO (we are after all in Europe) to feed their families and make the living. Those who strike are in the same shoes, so my question is why risk it? Isn’t there a better way to be heard?
